Juventus are reportedly plotting to use an ace card to attempt and pip Liverpool and other sides in the chase for highly-rated Ajax prodigy Matthijs de Ligt.
Matthijs, who is one of the latest prospects to have been unearthed from the de Joden academy, has attracted interest from a host of clubs in Europe, including Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus.
And according to an Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport, the Old Lady are eyeing tabling a favourable ace card in a bid to make sure they win the race for De Ligt.
The Italian club could include highly-rated forward Moise Kean as the makeweight in the deal to attempt and lure Ajax to cash-in on their prized asset during the summer transfer market.
Moise, who has struggled for regular game time in Turin, was wanted by de Joden in the January transfer market, but Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri did not want the player to leave.
But Bianconeri could be prepared to let Kean leave if it helps them secure the signature of the in-demand De Ligt.
The club have been scouting the wonderboy for several months and the sporting director, Fabio Paratici also went to keep an eye on his display against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League last week.
The hunt for the Dutch star now appears to be heating up and the Serie A champions want to make sure they are in driving seat for his signature.
Matthijs, who has been a star performer for his side this term, has a contract that runs until Juen of 2021 at the Johan Cruyff ArenA.
