Premier League giants Chelsea are reportedly about to lose one of the most prolific forwards in their academy has ever seen, the talented teenager is set to move to the German top-flight.

According to a report from Mirror Football, English ace Martell Taylor-Crossdale is set to join German side Hoffenheim once his existing contract at Chelsea expires.

The forward travelled to Germany on Monday to undergo a medical and complete his move. The 19-year-old talent has been capped by his country at Under-16s, 17s, 18s and 20s level.

It looks like that star feels that he is ready for some senior-team action and Martell will be hoping to break through into Die Kraichgauer’s first-team next campaign.

His most stunning achievement to date was finishing the 2016/17 U18 Premier League season as top scorer with 21 goals.

Martell is following in the footsteps of many other English youngsters who have moved to Germany in order to kickstart their senior careers.

Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid and Barcelona have reportedly failed with bids of £35m for Chelsea winger Willian.

The two Spanish clubs finished first and second in La Liga this campaign, although each of Diego Simeone and Ernesto Valverde are allegedly looking to overhaul their roster during the summer market.

Willian is considered as an attractive option in the transfer window this summer due to having just 12 months remaining on his deal at Stamford Bridge.

However, according to Sky Sports News, Chelsea intend to keep hold of the player, regardless of whether he signs fresh terms in West London.
