Tammy Abraham is reportedly unwilling to discuss a fresh contract with Chelsea while the club continue to be mentioned with a move for Borussia Dortmund sensation Erling Haaland.
The Norway international’s entourage Mino Raiola revealed in an interview with BBC Sport that there are four English clubs who could compete for the attacker’s signature.
Manchester United attempted to land the 20-year-old prior to his move to BVB with Manchester City and Chelsea now touted with keen interest.
Reports have suggested manager Thomas Tuchel has made Erling a top target ahead of the summer market but according to The Athletic, reported interest could have an impact on contract extension negotiations with Abraham.
The academy product is Chelsea’s top scorer this campaign with 12 goals but has often been rotated out of the side by Thomas who has substituted him at half-time in both of his two top-flight starts since the German’s arrival at Stamford Bridge.
The France international Olivier Giroud was also preferred to lead the line versus the La Liga giants Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night.
The Athletic state Abraham is not keen on entering into contract extension discussions while Haaland’s arrival in West London remains a possibility given the doubts it’d raise over his first-team chances.
The 22-year-old forward has two years left on his existing deal with the club. Mino meanwhile says up to 10 teams are in the running to land Haaland, who has a buy-out clause of £68m that becomes active in the summer of 2022.
