Bayern Munich will reportedly not give up their interest in landing Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi and are said to make a new £45m bid this week.

That figure represents £10 million increase on the offer the Germans made on transfer deadline day in January.

Die Roten sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic reaffirmed his interest in the star last week to German newspapers and the Bundesliga giants have been undeterred in their pursuit, in spite of new manager Frank Lampard’s insistence that he wants the winger to be central to his plans at Chelsea.

Bayern Munich have gone all out to make Callum the centrepiece of their rebuilding at Allianz Arena with the departures of veterans Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben.

He is training at Cobham as he recovers from injury, while the team have been in Dublin last week and fly to Japan on tour this week.

Lampard revealed previous week that he will sit down with Callum and try to convince him that he can be a long-term star at the Blues.

They would surely resist selling him this summer considering their transfer ban and the exit of Eden Hazard to Real Madrid.

Yet the fact that Bayern Munich are proving so persistent means the club run the risk that the German club land him for a minimal compensation payment on a pre-contract in January.

Meantime, new acquisition Christian Pulisic made his Chelsea debut in a friendly match against Japanese champions Kawasaki Frontale in Yokohama.

A late header from the striker Leandro Damiao gave the hosts a 1-0 win as Chelsea struggled in humid conditions.
