Callum Hudson-Odoi is ready to sign a new Chelsea deal after meeting with new boss Frank Lampard and being guaranteed a crucial role in the first team this term.
The 18-year-old winger has been a transfer target for Bayern Munich over the last season, with the Bavarians making several bids of up to £35 million for him back in January.
The German champions were understood to come back in with a fresh offer for the teenager this transfer window, but putting pen to paper on a new Chelsea contract should put an end to their interest.
Callum Hudson-Odoi was hesitant about staying at the Bridge as he had not made a Premier League start until April of last campaign under former head coach Maurizio Sarri.
However, the arrival of Frank Lampard in the dugout has been enough to convince the starlet that he will have a regular place in the starting eleven when he recovers from the Achilles tendon injury. Goal claimed that the contract is likely to run for five years and be worth around £100,000-per-week.
The English forward is currently out with the Achilles problem he picked up on 22 April in a Premier League outing against Burnley.
The initial prognosis was that the England international was likely to be out for at least six months, but his recovery has been remarkable, and he now looks set to return to full training by the start of next month.
While Callum Hudson-Odoi will still miss the start of the season, he may be available by the end of August, which is a massive boost for the new manager who is operating under a transfer ban.
