La Liga club Barcelona are set to reignite their interest in Chelsea star Willian and are prepared to chase his signature in the summer, reports say.
According to a British daily newspaper the Telegraph, Blaugrana are still interested in Blues forward.
The Catalan heavyweights are set to renew their interest for Willian in the summer transfer market.
The South American will be on their transfer radar once again in summer after Blues rebuffed the efforts last two transfer window.
Willian has been connected to Barcelona for some time now and it was reported that the Catalans had lodged offers in January to sign the Brazilian.
But, the club rejected the tempting proposals and chose to retain their technically gifted winger beyond transfer market.
Chelsea has been his home for almost six seasons now, since joining the west Londoners in the summer of 2013 from the Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala.
The Brazilian star has been consistent for Chelsea and has used Samba flair and quick feet to good impression at Stamford Bridge.
But, he has always been criticised by his supporters, mainly for his lack of delivery and his habit of sometimes not being good enough in spite of a massive work rate.
The Spanish outfit have signed Brazilian star duo Philippe Coutinho and Malcom and French winger Ousmane Dembele in recent campaigns but have just not been able to replace now Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar.
The three aforementioned attackers have played well in spades, with lack of form and injuries causing the board to look elsewhere.
Chelsea want £40 million if they are to part ways with misfit Michy Batshuayi in summer, with a string of sides said to be keen on the Belgian star.
The 25-year-old star joined Blues in 2016, but he has managed to make just 53 matches for the club, netting 19 goals, as he has struggled to become the first-team player in the squad.
Michy has been on loan at Valencia, Borussia Dortmund and Crystal Palace during the last two seasons, with neither Maurizio Sarri nor Antonio Conte apparently fancying the star to do a job for them at the club.
That view could change with Blues’ transfer ban in mind, as if the club are unable to bolster the squad in summer, they might be forced to recall their on-loan players to ensure that they have enough depth and quality to compete on multiple fronts next campaign.
However, according to The Express, the Blues have named their price for the star, as it’s stated that they call for £40 million for him this summer.
Both Everton and Borussia Dortmund are said to be interested and could splash out to land him on a permanent basis, while it is added that Fiorentina and Torino also hold interest but would prefer a loan switch.
In turn, it remains to be seen if Blues’ demands are met as it would certainly be better for all concerned to simply allow Michy to move on and get on with his professional career elsewhere if he does not have a long-term future in west London.
He has managed just six goals in 34 matches this term across spells with Valencia and Crystal Palace, whereas he excelled Bundesliga and that would surely be the most sensible landing spot for the player.
AC Milan management will sanction the sale of reported Chelsea target Franck Kessie in the summer window if their €35m asking price is met.
Chelsea have been connected with a move for the star in the latest months, with his long-term future at San Siro continuing to come under scrutiny.
Frank remains an important player for Gennaro Gattuso, but according to reports from Corriere dello Sport, as quoted in a report from Calciomercato, AC Milan would be ready to let him leave in the upcoming transfer market.
Chelsea star Tiemoue Bakayoko is currently out on loan at the Italian giants, and reports previously claimed that a possible exchange deal involving the two stars could be on the cards.
However, it looks like AC Milan will only look to part company with Kessie if the club are able to sell the player, not exchange him.
Chelsea are not the only EPL club who have been connected with a move for the Ivorian star. Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur were also named as possible suitors earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Chelsea star Michy Batshuayi could return to Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund on a permanent deal this summer.
According to The Daily Express, via Football London, die Borussen could sign Batshuayi in the next transfer market if they are ready to meet Chelsea’s valuation of the attacker.
He’s available for a sum in the region of £40 million, but it’s unclear at this time as to whether or not Borussia Dortmund would be able to meet it.
