Chelsea have reportedly pinpointed Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as a potential replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The former Athletic Bilbao man has suffered mixed fortunes during his time with the Blues, although Kepa has regained his place in Frank Lampard’s starting XI over Willy Caballero since the Premier League returned.

Nevertheless, the Spaniard’s future continues to be shrouded in uncertainty ahead of the summer transfer market, and Chelsea are said to be making contingency plans in case the star does seek pastures new.

The goalkeeper is reportedly on Valencia’s transfer radar ahead of a proposed two-year loan switch, and The Mirror reports that Chelsea could look to seal a deal for Onana should Kepa return to his homeland.

The Blues have been previously touted with an interest in the £30m-rated Cameroon international, but they’d supposedly have to fend off interest from Paris Saint-Germain for Andre’s signature.

Chelsea have already been heavily active in the transfer market and are ready to welcome Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to the English capital ahead of the 2020-21 season.

Elsewhere, Chelsea want Declan Rice to lead their defence next campaign – and are growing confident they will seal a deal to sign the West Ham United star this summer.

Frank Lampard is desperate for a player to come into the heart of his back line and help drive a challenge for the PL title next season.

Hammers star Declan is the man he wants, with Frank keen to shift him from the holding midfield position the talent currently plays in back to his natural home in the centre of defence.

The Blues have sounded out their London rivals over a deal this summer and think they can get their man for around £45 million.
